IntroductionLife style disorders’ is a comparatively new term added to the body of modern medicine. Evidences show that there is a ‘group of diseases’ which is the outcome of faulty life style of an individual over a considerably long time period. Along with known entities like diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disorders, neurological disorders, obesity; new diseases like Carpel tunnel Syndrome, Computer Vision Syndrome, Stress and related disorders are emerging in metropolis especially in software industries.
Need- Due to working till night affects the health of software professionals which in turn also leads into Anxiety and Depression

Stress related diseasesStress adaptation syndrome manifests in physical symptoms to cardiovascular systems, respiratory systems, Gastrointestinal and Psychological symptoms like tension, insomnia, depressive mood, loss of enthusiasm and sex health
Occupational hazards like the illnesses due to VDU (Visual display Unit) can give rise to back problems, repetitive strain injury, or other musculoskeletal disorders

ILLNESSES –VDU visual display Unit Some users may get aches and pains in their hands, wrists,
arms, neck, shoulders or back, Headache especially after long periods of uninterrupted VDU work. ‘Repetitive strain injury’ (RSI) aches, pain may be due to screen glare; poor image quality; stress from the pace of work; anxiety about new technology; reading the screen for long periods without a break; poor posture;
Adjust your chair and VDU to find the most comfortable position for your work. your forearms should be approximately horizontal and your eyes the same height as the top of the VDU.
Make sure there is space under your desk to move your legs freely
A space in front of the keyboard is sometimes helpful for resting the hands and wrists
Keep a soft touch on the keys and don’t overstretch your fingers. Good keyboard technique is important
Support your forearm on the desk, and don’t grip the mouse too tightly.
Rest your fingers lightly on the buttons and do not press them hard.
Adjust the brightness and contrast controls on the screen to suit lighting conditions in the room. taking frequent short breaks from the VDU
