Q: Why does LifeCell™ come in a squeeze tube instead of a  jar or a pump dispenser?A: Our research department went beyond most, by testing almost every container known to science. We found that jars used by most manufacturers have a major flaw. As soon as you open up the jar, because of the large surface area of exposure, the cream gets oxidized. In other words, since LifeCell™ is all-natural and paraben-free, constantly exposing it to air can cause some of its ingredients to degrade over time, making it ineffective. Apart from air exposure, another thing that can deteriorate the ingredients in a product is the harboring of bacteria. Sticking your fingers back and forth into a jar is unsanitary and an easy way to spread bacteria to the unused product.

It does no good to apply something on your face that has dead (oxidized) ingredients that have lost their effectiveness.
