Why Did It Work?

People coming together: We created a forum for participants to publicize their sun screen use, creating a new social norm, and thus reducing obstacles to the use of sun screen.

Out in the open: We facilitated an environment that instilled social pressure not to deviate from the new norm.

Triggers and motivation, wrapped into one: We triggered the behavior with a video that served as a motivating factor.

What Would We Change?

Make it personal: Incorporate participants into the videos, or allow participants to create their own videos

Education vs. Entertainment: Investigate the trade offs between informational videos and entertaining videos

Timing is everything: Making the timing consistent and more advantageous
