WHAT IS IT ABOUT?Goal:

to offer precautionary support and advice for children and young people on the internet

4 public health nurses, 1 social worker and 1 psychologist

Work is carried out in a cooperation with youth services on the internet (Netari)

Service is nationwide

TARGET GROUP

All children and young people in Finland between 13 and 18 years of age who spend time on the Internet

Young people who needs special care and support (like child protection customers)

WE AIM TO…

to develop (precautionary) e-services in the youth, health and social sector, interact in social media and try new ways of communications

to support psychosocial growth of the children and young people on the Internet by being a present, reliable and professional adult

to work as a multiprofessional entity and develop the ways to work together over different professional regimes

WHERE AND HOW? In the Internet and youth-aimed web-

communities / social media environments (such as Habbo Hotel, IRC-Galleria, Demi.fi, Facebook, Pulmakulma)

Workers chat with youngsters in web communities (anonymous one-to-one discussion, group and theme discussions)
