SUMMARY
Keyword searches
• Use keywords saved in ‘hedges’ (saved searches) or alerts.
• Useful for Articles-in-Press, In-Process & Conference records.
• This will increase sensitivity at the cost of precision.
Medical devices
• Search adverse effects using disease subheading CO.
• Also consider expanding search using keywords.
• Over 3000 medical devices are now available in Emtree.
Adverse drug reactions
• Use drug subheading AE where possible. Focus is on human.
• Consider expanding search using keywords.
• This will increase sensitivity at the cost of precision.
