What is Critical Limb Ischemia ???
CLI (Critical Limb Ischemia) is the term for severe blockage of arteries of
the legs leading to reduced blood-flow. A grave form of Peripheral Arterial
Disease (PAD), CLI is a result of atherosclerosis or the arterial hardening and
narrowing due to arterial plaque or fatty deposits in arteries.

Pain in the legs and feet when the person is at rest and not moving (also called "ischemic rest pain")

Faint or absent pulse in the leg or foot below the blockage

• The collection of bone marrow is done from the hip bone (iliac crest) of the patient by using a thin needle to mini-puncture the skin under local
anesthesia.
• The stem cells from the collected bone marrow are evaluated to measure their strength and vitality in our
government-approved (cGMP),ultramodern laboratory.
• The next step is implantation of stem cells in the target area of the patient either by angiography or
intrathecal if angiography is unadvisable due to certain medical complexities of the patient. We
resort to local anesthesia to perform “Angiography”.
