The War on Cancer

Since President Nixon declared war on cancer

in 1970, over $30 billion have been spent

on research to discover a cure.

The overall survival rates today are not much better than they were in 1970.

Isn’t it time to challenge the conventional approaches?

For the past 12 years…

I have discussed the topic of cancer with

researchers from the medical industry

natural health practitioners

people who have beaten cancer

I have attended lectures and seminars on cancer

I have studied video-taped interviews of dozens of doctors who treat cancer


This presentation shares my opinions…

…to stimulate thinking and discussion.

The basic premise

The body is designed

to heal itself.

If it does not,

shouldn’t we look for

why it doesn’t?


Why doesn’t the body

heal itself

of cancer?


It would help

to define

what cancer is!


What is “Cancer”? A mass of abnormal cells that do not die

Normal cells are pre-programmed to die

Pre-programmed death (apoptosis) is defined by the P-53 gene

If the P-53 gene is somehow switched off (by a free radical?), the cell will not die a natural death. This is a cancer cell.

The cell will divide, as cells do, to multiply.

The new cells also will not die and they in turn also divide

A mass begins to form

The mass is eventually identified as “cancer”


It starts with one cell

Location of the initial cell determines the type of cancer:

Brain

Lung

Bone

Breast

Prostate


Everyone has cancer cells.

A properly-working immune system

will identify and destroy cancer cells.

An “underactive” immune system

may allow one or more

to live and multiply.


If a cancer cell is allowed to live, it multiplies and becomes a mass of cells that do not die.

The mass will double in size at a rate depending on the type of original cancer cell.

The body’s reaction is to build a membrane around the mass to contain it.


If the membrane is punctured, cancer cells will get into the bloodstream and migrate to other parts of the body.

A biopsy punctures the membrane.


Conventional treatment

Targets the mass as the problem

Uses methods that are known causes of cancer

Radiation

Chemotherapy

Weakens the immune system

A weakened immune system does not destroy individual cancer cells that have migrated

Does not address the causes of cancer


Natural Health Approaches

1. Stop making cancer cells (Get rid of the cause)

2. Safely and specifically kill the cancer cells (Numerous options/Vitamin D3)

(Dead cancer cells are highly toxic—cleanse often!)

3. Rebuild/strengthen the immune system


What are the causes of Cancer?

Three mechanisms have been suggested:

1. Acidic and oxygen-deficient environment (Living cells mutate into cells that can survive without oxygen)

2. Free-radical damage (Free radicals turn off the programmed-death gene)

(Carcinogens are sources of free radicals)

3. Inflammation (Healing process utilizes rapidly growing cells)

(The body fails to terminate the healing process)

(Pancreatic enzymes are needed to terminate the process)


One cause of cancer is acidic and oxygen-deficient cells

Uses Oxygen

Uses sugar for energy

Slightly alkaline

Cancer Cell

Does not use Oxygen

Uses sugar for survival

Acidic environment


One way to reduce your chances of getting Cancer:

Ensure your immune system

is working the way it is expected to, that is:

Recognize and destroy cancer cells.

Do not attack healthy tissue.

For both an underactive and an overactive immune system, we suggest polysaccharide supplements.


A second way to reduce your chances of getting Cancer

Create an oxygen-rich cellular environment

that is pH neutral or slightly alkaline.

We suggest:

a mineral-based alkaline supplement for alkalinity and improved oxygen takeup, and

aerobic exercise for greater oxygen exposure


A third way to reduce your chances of getting Cancer:

Reduce your risk

of free radical damage.
