Buying Hearing Aids On

The Internet

Many of our customers come in

with questions about hearing aids they have seen and/or read about on the

internet.

While “surfing the net” can be extremely enlightening

and helpful, there are some very real drawbacks that become quite apparent

when I listen to how people digest what they read.

When using the “information highway”, you can either be led

down the right road, or get caught in a real net

of deceptionor confusion and

unwittingly “crash and burn”.

Customers come in with, truly, some of the strangest devices

I have ever seen. Some of them are larger than

an old transistorradio.

Yet another device looks like a very large blue-tooth phone piece.

I could almost swear the man wearing it was

tilting his head to theside because it was so

heavy.

More seriously, there are brand name

instruments that can befound for purchase on the internet, as well.

This is where confusionreally abounds!

Many of the hearing aid resellers buy three-to-

four-year-oldtechnology and pass it

off as “the latest in digital hearing

aids available today!”
