It happens to the best of us. We wake up, and just can’t bring ourselves to go for a routine run.

What happened? Are we weak? Broken? No! We’ve just experienced some runner’s burnout. Here’s some ways to get over it.

1 . D E V E L O P M E N TA L T O U G H N E S S

• If your mind’s not there your body isn’t going anywhere

• Do a few exercise that jump start the brain instead of the body

2 . G O O U T S I D E

• This applies to treadmill runners

• Running on the belt can get boring, and gym air can be stale

• Experience the challenge of road running, and be rewarded with a cool breeze!

3 . R E C O V E R

• Every fourth week, reduce your routine distance by about half

• Your body will really make the most of that rest!

4 . C R O S S T R A I N

• Provides variety to your fitness routine

• Several activities include

• Biking

• Swimming

• Weight Training

5 . R E S P E C T Y O U R L I M I T S

• Pushing yourself to the max each time will drive you into a wall

• It’s also not great for your body

• Leaves you feeling exhausted and averse to more activity
