Endocrine disorders are diseases related to the endocrine glands of the body. The endocrine system produces hormones, which are chemical signals sent out, or secreted, through the bloodstream. Endocrine disorder affects growth and development, metabolism, sexual function, and mood. Endocrine diseases occur by the hormonal imbalances.

They include heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, sleep apnoea, neuropathy, kidney damage and depression. Hormone imbalances can also lead to breast cancer, endometrial cancer, urinary incontinence, goitre, sexual dysfunction, bone loss, muscle mass loss, infertility and high cholesterol.

Treatment for endocrine disorder can be done by proper medication or through surgery. Depending on the condition of the diseased body, the way of treatment can be chosen. But before the treatment procedure, effective diagnosing of the endocrine disease has to be done. Endocrinologist first examines the urine and blood samples for the assessment of the disorderIn the endocrinology blood test, the endocrinologist measures the hormone levels and analyses the functioning of the gland. Depending on the kind of disorder, endocrinology blood test is performed using different endocrinology lab parameters.

▪ Exercising regularly. This can help you reduce the amount of insulin in your body, and can also help you increase your insulin sensitivity.

▪ Stay away from refined carbs and sugar. This is because you can help your body optimize hormone function and prevent issues like weight gain and diabetes

▪ Eating 20-40 grams of protein per day. This is because protein stimulates certain hormones that suppress your appetite.
