• A mix of members from different majors and different years with whom you’ll form close family bonds.

• Get help in classes, advice about the DAT, and most importantly, a handful of friends.

• Sign up online to be placed in your family unit and be prepared to have lots of fun.

• We will start assigning families after this meeting but allow them to grow throughout the semester.

Mentorship ProgamJust watch and learn.

• We have roughly 40 spots open with more being added every day

• Sign up online to be considered for placement with a dentist. Members are assigned dentists based on payment of dues, seniority, semesters in TPS, and response time.

• You must be able to commit at least two hours straight each week

• No, you don’t need a car. But you will probably need to take the bus, though it won’t be very far.

• Unleash your inner baker at CUPCAKE WARS!• Sunday 9/25 from 1-2:30pm, SAC rooftop patio• You will be placed into groups and asked to decorate cupcakes

following a certain theme• No prior cupcake decorating experience required• And you get to eat cupcakes!• Signups close THIS FRIDAY at 11pm

• Head to Lake Austin and KAYAK with your TPS friends!• Sunday 10/2 from 10-11am at Lake Austin• Limited to first 30 paid members who sign up

• Act as a mentor/tutor at Webb Middle School various times throughout the day, all week long

• Teach science experiments to elementary school kids at Young Scientists on Fridays (starting 9/9) from 1:30-3:30pm at Walnut Creek Elementary School• NOTE: There is no YS next Friday 9/21

• Tutor at Reagan High School various times throughout the day, all week long

• You must be able to commit to these EVERY WEEK! Sign up online.

• Tabling will occur every day until the beginning of October

• Sign ups are based on a Volunteer Spot calendar, which will be linked on our website

• If you sign up for the first shift, you must also sign up to get the banner. If you sign up for the last shift, you must also sign up to return the banner.

•You can’t just sign up to get/return the banner. That’s lame.

• New this semester: a newsletter designed for dental schools and UT administrators to keep them informed about what’s happening in TPS

• Submit an article idea to Sierra for approval. If you get the green light, write a short article for a PR point!

• We hope to release Sept/Oct (DEADLINE 10/12) and Nov/Dec newsletters
