  11. 11. What we learnt from evaluation Early indications are promising, with positive outcomes for parents who enrolled on the programme. Parents see the practitioner as working in partnership with them and this increases engagement with Safe Care Other strengths include: delivery in the home; practical approaches and tools; and parents receiving positive feedback 11
  12. 12. What do Families Say - impact 12 Before I had SafeCare I used to shout at my kids quite a lot because ... I couldnt understand why they didnt listen to me. Obviously I figured out that the shouting at them didnt work and that was only through Safe Care... So yeah, Safe Care has definitely opened my eyes of how to get a child to respond to you the way you want to without losing your temper or getting agitated or anything. (Emma, age 22)
  13. 13. What do Families Say - impact 13 Ive got a file of things to do around the home like make sure the bedrooms clean, make sure there no dirt on the floor, nothing at all on the floor except the toys and its fine. That way the children know its their home. As soon as they come in theyre Cor its nice and clean, it smells nice. (Esther, age 30)
  14. 14. What do Families Say - impact 14 I thought this is going to be rubbish and Im not going to learn anything. Then obviously when it got started I found it amazing and I wanted to see it through I stuck to it and Im glad I have Its definitely life changing if you stick to it and if you listen it will definitely change your kids life and your own. (Jasmine, age 22)
