• Asia-Pacific is home to the majority of the world’s hungry and malnourished, particularly women and children– High dependence on agriculture for livelihoods
• A new aid paradigm is emerging• Transforming agri-food systems will require rapid
innovation driven by– Targeted research (focussed on impacts)– New approaches to technical cooperation
• Impact is critical and will depend on effective communication and incentives
