All District Committees are expected to :

Work with the governor, governor-elect ,Governor

nominee, and assistant governors to plan

strategies for achieving goals

Promote and attend district training meetings

and District Conferences

Relay information between Rotary International,

the district, and club members

Work closely with club leaders to provide

support and guidance

Share materials received from the Secretariat,

RI Committees and regional coordinators .

- Become the expert in your committees topic .Help

develop District goals.

- Coordinate club projects to support district goals.

- Develop a plan of action to achieve goals with

committee members.

- Communicate regularly with committee

members ,,,,to ensure progress

- Choose a leadership style that fits your committee

and helps it achieve its goals. An encouraging and supportive approach rather than an authoritative approach.

- Promote constructive discussions to enact

changes and new initiatives

- Draw on your committee members’ talents and expertise

- Cultivate committee members’ leadership skills and create a succession plan for your committee.

n Monitor club progress –

n Provide assistance & support to club’s activities as

appropriate and as related to the committee

n Encourage support of district goals

n Educate clubs about RI & District resources available

n Coordinate with Club’s AG.

n Identify and recognize outstanding clubs and individuals

n Know the clubs .Communicate Regularly at all levels of Rotarians

n Be proactive

n Share relevant information from RI and TRF.

n Share success stories.

n Be an expert; know of available resources.

n Develop a key committee message

n Provides concrete examples of clubsin action.

n Promotes committee goals and strategiesto achieve them.

n Highlights links between clubs andyour committee.

n Discusses project outcomes and successes.

- Plan ahead for your communication with clubs if there

is specific information you are responsible for relating

or events you are expected to promote.

- Check in with club leaders regularly. Share information

sent to you by Rotary International, your district, and

your district’s regional coordinators.

-Share any club success stories and feedback you receive

with other district and regional leaders.

n Devise strategies that help clubs

meet their goals.

n While focusing on your area of concern,

take advantage of potential interactions

among district committees.

n Establish a clear communication

protocol with club and district leaders

-Work with clubs to help them achieve their goals.

Offer suggestions, put them in contact with

potential mentors and partners, and encourage
