Dayton Playhouse, Inc. I Stage ImprovementsThe grant will help in upgrading the Playhouse’s 25-year-old building, including replacing the stage floor and theater drapes, as well as improve the fly system.

Dayton Contemporary Dance Company I Moving Toward ExcellenceThe Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s (DCDC) Moving Toward Excellence program supports literacy instruction for first and second graders. The grant supported classroom lessons on literacy, which culminated in a DCDC performance for more than 2,000 students in the Dayton Public Schools.

K12 Gallery & TEJAS I AP Studio Art CourseK12 Gallery & TEJAS is offering a new AP Studio Art 2D course for high school juniors and seniors who are advanced art students. The course will prepare students for the rigors of college while creating a professional art portfolio. The grant will be used to support scholarships for students who require financial assistance to pay the course tuition.

Alzheimer’s Association I Dementia Coaching ProjectThe Alzheimer’s Association’s Dementia Coaching project is an evidence-based program that has been shown to reduce hospital readmissions and emergency room visits, delay nursing home placement and improve caregiver well-being. The grant will help launch this program in the Dayton area.

Advocates for Basic Legal Equality I Immigration Legal Assistance ProgramThe grant supports a new program that will assist local immigrants in completing immigration relief applications and conduct outreach efforts to help protect them from scams involving fraudulent services.

Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley I Pantry Improvement ProjectThe grant supports the final phase of the Pantry Improvement Project, which will include additional classroom space, confidential consultation areas and larger refrigeration capacity to serve Greater Dayton residents who seek emergency food assistance.

CityWide Development Corporation I DaVinci Children’s GardenThe grant supports the creation of a public children’s garden on a one-acre site along Valley Street as a part of the DaVinci comprehensive community development project.
