PARLIAMENT IS THE LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY FOR THE FEDERATION AND IT ENACTS LAWS TO BE ENFORCED NATIONWIDE

1PARLIAMENT PASSES FEDERAL LAWS, MAKES AMENDMENTS TO EXISTING FEDERAL LAWS, EXAMINES THE GOVERNMENT’S POLICIES, APPROVES THE GOVERNMENT’S EXPENDITURES AND APPROVES NEW TAXES

• Contingency and recovery plan if the main service experiences major disruption due to incidents such as power failure, flood, fire, earthquake, etc.

Future Systems/Projects SYSTEM

APPLICATION

DESCRIPTION

Helpdesk System

• Setting up a helpdesk system aimed at improving the ICT service delivery through online system that allows the Information Technology Division staff to manage, resolve and track the complaints lodged by users as well as the problems related to ICT facilities

• The users have multiple channels to lodge their complaints manually, such as through phone call and email or via this helpdesk system. Each complaint needs to be checked, categorized and resolved before giving feedback to the complainant via the system

Facility Booking System

To develop a system that allows the officers and Members of Parliament to book facilities such as meeting room, office vehicle, equipment, etc for authorized purposes such as Parliament Sitting, Opening of Parliament, workshops, seminars and such like

Visitor Management System

This proposed system allows clients of Parliament of Malaysia or the public to submit online their request to visit the Parliament of Malaysia

Enquiry and Complaint Management System

• This system allows any complaint and enquiry related to the Parliament of Malaysia to be directed to the Parliament of Malaysia online

• The four main components of this system are receiving complaint / enquiry, investigation and findings, escalation to the related officer and providing feedback to the complainant / requester

• Every complaint / enquiry and duration of completion must be recorded in accordance with the completion period as stipulated in the Client Charter

ICT Strategic Plan

• Replacing the ICT Strategic Plan 2008 – 2013

• Guideline or blueprint for the planning, development and implementation of all ICT programmes of Parliament more efficiently and systematically over a period of 5 years (2014-2018)

• An organised, efficient and effective ICT management is able to increase productivity and add value to the services provided to customers. Implementation Roadmap ISP of Parliament illustrates the way the Parliament plans to achieve the proposed blueprint. The Strategic Plan should be in line with the Parliament Strategic Plan and the Public Sector ICT Strategic Plan
