Method• Soak almonds overnight. Drain and put in a blender with 1/4 cup water. Blend to a smooth paste.• Grind seeds from cardamom with fennel, peppercorns and poppy seeds. Soak this ground seed stuff with remaining water for 1hr or more.• Strain this liquid through 3 folds of cheese cloth, add the almond paste, milk and sugar. Mix well and serve over crushed ice.• For lassi add yogurt in place of milk. Add 3/4 drop of rose essence.
