A monster-“Xi” harmed to human being

Long long ago, there was a monster named Xi, who came out once a year to devour human being and cattle.

People would flee to mountains to escape its harm.

A young boy Nian came out to help

In one year, when people were preparing to flee, a young boy Nian said he could defeat Xi.

However, villagers didn’t believe him but run away.

The boy Nian defeated the monster Xi

Xi came out at middle night but only to find that lights were on, red paper pasted on doors, firecrackers were going off. He was frightened since these were all he was afraid of.

And then Nian came out and defeated him. Xi run away after a hard fighting.
