implying that it is the boy

who is in fact haunted.

• The eyes have been scratched out which have could mean that the boys „soul‟ in unwanted. It could also show that the boy in not himself which connotes possession.

• His darkened stare with little expression also fits with the theme of thrillers as he is hard to read and is very dark and shadowy.

• The writing over his body with lexis such as „scary and terror‟ also denotes a theme of thriller. The tagline definitely suggests that the boy is haunted.

• The lone standing house can also show a theme of isolation.

• The leaves on the trees also appear to be near dead, causing denotations of death.
