I’ve been thinking of ideas to think about my new front cover so I decided to do
some research. As i was looking at some music magazines this music magazine front
cover of ‘Rewind’ really stood out to me. 2 big UK rappers on a front page. They both
are holding a mic and with the rapper Giggs looking right at you with a screw look.
This immediately interests me as Giggs is known to be a powerful rapper with a deep
and strong (piercing) voice. Alongside him another big rapper Tinchy Stryder looking
at the camera. Yet he has shades on, this gives him the superstar look as he is looked
at as a UK superstar.
They are advertising a new game called ‘Rapstar’. They picked these two rappers as
it goes with the game. Two big rappers who are known to be ‘stars’.
Both of their heads seem to be overlapping the masthead. This is a way to say they
are more important and more powerful.
On the bottom left corner they have names of big time artists in a grey font. This
makes it stand out and catch a readers eye. It also makes me want to read this
magazine as I would like to know what they have to say about the big artists named.
I’m sure others would want to know the same.
The background colour is a plain grey with a nice relaxed white in the middle. The
colours are faded well making it look smooth. The white fades in around the
microphones. This gives the idea that what’s going to come out of the mic is going to
be something special. And this also gives the idea that ‘Rapstar’ is something special
too.
