Establishing shot Used at the beginning of the documentary-For the audience to see where the documentary is taking place- (England, London)-will also be used for the different areas of London.

Close-up shot Used in some interviews-clear to see interviewees facial expression when being asked a question.

Mid-shot

Audience is able to see the presenter clearer -what kind of expressions they are using.Not to far and not too close

Over the shoulder shot

Behind the presenter shoulder- audience will be able to see presenter perspective.-This shot will be used in some of the interviews

High angle shot

At the end of the documentary, youth will say: "were not who we think we are”- Decided to use a high angle shot – show that not all youth are as intimidating.

Long shot First used to introduce the presenter and areas we will be filming

Two shotUsed in interviews –A view of two people. To show the emotional reactions between the interviewee and the presenter.

Target audienceOur target audience are adults and youths:• Age: 13-24 (youths) 24 +

(Adults-parents and general public)

• Gender: Males and Females

• Hobbies: gang culture, drink and drug abuse, love of music (influential), in choirs, helping the community(fairtrade)

• Interest: big brother, watching movies, going out, into politics, going to site seeing's such as museums.

• Lifestyles /Social class : Lower class, middle class, upper-class diverse range of people- lower class lifestyle is usually staying at home or going out on roads to create trouble. Higher class lifestyle going to university and living off parents.

• Location: The area of London.

How are you going to make a documentary interesting to your target audience according to chosen topics ( what would make you watch our documentary)

--interesting music( catchy)-- montage of fast clips to keep audience intrigued -- presenter will be dressed informal--title will be bold and eye catching-- we will have facts portrayed in an interesting way( moving statistics and images(animation)

How were going to make it interesting to target according to form/ convention

--Videos of things they can relate to( archival footage )- Frankie cocozza-- presenter will speak informally to an extent -- transitions will be quick at start to catch attention of TA --transitions will be slow when showing positives about youths in order to get emotion from audience

Which will we use?

Time – 20:00 because it will have rear use of insulting language or topic that will offend people.

Why channel 4 strong reputation for real life documentaries

we can put our documentary on fourdocs as they allow documentaries that are 3-5mins

we will be able to reach our target audience because channel 4 has a lot of media attention and audience watch.

How we meet ofcom standards • Ofcom has a statutory duty to

ensure that under-eighteens are protected.

WE DON’T HAVE ANY TEXT, IMAGE OR CLIPS THAT DO NOT PROTECT UNDER 18’S

• The watershed starts at 21:00 and material unsuitable for children should not, in general, be shown before 21:00 or after 05:30.

OUR DOCUMENTARY IS AT9PM AS WE WILL HAVE MATERIAL SHOWING SUCH AS YOUTHS DRINKING AND BEING AGGRESSIVE.

• violence and offensive language cannot be used in any TV content before the watershed hours

THERE MAY BE SOME FOUL LANGUAGE USED IN OUR DOCUMENTARY BUT THERE WILL BE NO VIOLENCE
