David Ellis

• David Ellis was raised in a log cabin near Raleigh. His family was very musical.

• Ellis’ work continues to interpret music and sound. His paintings are often recorded in a form of digital time-lapse animation Ellis calls motion painting.

• Ellis gained famed almost a decade ago as part of the Barnstormers group, which painted on and transported old tobacco barns for exhibition.

• Ellis often works in collaboration with other artists and the community.
