WHO ARE WE? WHAT WE DO?

Quick Models & Engineering Services (QMES) is a privately held company offering state-of-the-art prototyping, 3D printing, and engineering services

We are the only 3D Printing Company in the greater Houston area and the only company offering full-scale build volume in North America

QMES has the right tools designed for professionals and creators who are seeking cost effective and high performance 3D printing projects that produce full-scale build-volume objects (up to 1.3 cubic meter or 45 cubic feet) 

QMES also offers engineering services such as product development, reverse engineering, material selection, CAD/CAM solutions, FEA studies, prototype development, engineering economics, fabrication methods and more…

OUR EQUIPMENTConventional 3D printers can usually only produce hand-sized objects. Printers at QMES, however, can create objects in a full-scale format, opening the imagination to yet unfathomed application areas

A printing volume of over one cubic meter makes it possible to produce prototypes and models 1:1, or to create final products, such as designer furniture, directly with the 3D printing method

Our equipment are unprecedented full-scale format 3D printers

With an 1147 x 1000 x 1188 mm (1.3 m³) (45 ft³) working volume, about 27 times that of a typical MakerBot Replicator

OUR EQUIPMENT – TECH SPECS

Our printers are FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) 3D Printers

They use 3D printer filament which gets fed to the extruder unit. The extruder then melts the material and deposits it as a long thread, layer by layer. The process is in reality more similar to a 3D drawing than a printing process

Our printers come with a dual extrusion print head to print 2 different materials and/or colors at the same time

We currently offer 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 1mm and 1,5mm nozzles

We currently offer 3mm and 1.75mm extruders

Up to 150mm/s print speed

Max feed rate 500 mm/s

0.1mm min layer height

Layer thickness: 0.1 – 1.5mm

MEET THE BIG BROTHER

The new machine features an enormous build volume of up to 1.5 m³ (53 ft³)

It will feature an enclosed build chamber with a custom made controller unit which uses industrial standard components

Additionally, the new machine will print surprisingly fast and will be equipped with numerous new features and security enhancements

3D Modeling: QMES can quickly turn your 2D sketch into a 3D printable CAD file. We can also make modifications to your existing CAD files

Product Design: If you have a brand new idea but don’t know where to begin, our engineers can help you develop a functional product that is ready for market

Reverse Engineering: After a part has been digitized via 3D scanning, our engineers can determine the principles behind the part’s design

Manufacturing: QMES can design jigs, fixtures and molds for your manufacturing needs. For some applications, these parts can be 3D printed in-house

We would like to grow into an idea materialization company with all stakeholders involved

Our ultimate goal is to become the number one company, where individual engineers and designers have the ability to fulfill their potentials and materialize their ideas

We would like to connect them with engineering and technical resources in order to create a marketable product. Once the product is ready for the market, we will assist on licensing the final product to outside companies for manufacturing, sales, and marketing

QMES will be getting a portion of the life-time royalties along with the people or companies associated with the project

This business model eliminates “the exchange of your new product ideas and hard work for a fixed salary”
