Age rating and what BBFC would give our thriller

As a group we thought that our film was going to be a 12A as we don’t have any bad language and there is no gore within the opening scene, but as we had a drug deal, a henchman taking drugs and also a henchman fighting a police officer which lead to the BBFC to rate it a 15.We then checked the BBFC website and looked up other films that are similar to ours and then it came quite apparent that the film was going to be a 15 or even an 18 as the BBFC had said.
