The IB Diploma Student

Diploma students take six subjects

3 Higher Level and 3 Standard Level

Diploma score > 24

Meets HL and SL requirements (min 12 in HLs)

Write a 4,000 word extended essay

Complete a course in theory of knowledge (English/Chinese)

Complete a number of creativity, action and service (CAS) projects.

Diploma Course Students • Students take a minimum of 1 and maximum of 5 Diploma courses with predicted

achievement level of 4

• Attend all courses (6) excluding TOK

• CAS Mandatory

• Sit examinations in session registered

• Other course grades are issued internally

– Grade scale of A-F

• YCIS Beijing High School Diploma and IB Diploma Course Certificates issued
