So, how in the world…do you measure success?



Why not measure everything?


In 2015, The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation published a case study highlighting Relay GSE as a pioneer teacher prep program that is defining what it means for teachers to be data-literate.


When they asked us,

“How do you measure success?”

here’s what we said…


We said:

“At the end of the day, a data-literate teacher uses the data that they have, the numbers, as part of the conversation, and uses the softer information they have to really tie the story together…”


“Data-literate people understand that, in the end, a lot of the data we collect is a proxy for success. What we want for the whole child is far deeper than numbers alone can reflect.”


What does that mean, “a proxy for success”?


It means…
