Monday, 13th AprilEarly in the morning, all Comenius students went to Abba Ballini High School in Brescia. We were divided into groups and our Italian partners showed us the school facilities. Moreover, the Italian teacher gave us a welcome conference.
After our school tour, we went to go to a tap factory. The company’s name is Bonomi Group. There we were given a talk on the operation of the company and they showed us all the facilities. We were divided into groups with a guide who explained step by step the production of the different pieces of a tap.
In the middle afternoon; we visited Lago Iseo. We sailed on a boat on the lake and we got to a small island where we had lunch together in the countryside.
Later we took a walk through the village, it was very nice. We saw a few ducks on the lake with their little ducklings.

On tuesday afternoon, a tourist guide showed us
some monuments of brescia, such as the old and the new cathedral.
On this picture, we can see the new cathedral :
And on this photo it's the old cathedral
We have visited an exhibition with preservedInstruments of Stradivarius
(great Italian violin maker of the 17th century).
Place Loggia(The place is well-known because of the terrorist attack that killed eight
people and wounded over 100. The bomb was placed inside a rubbish bin at the east end of the piazza).
We had a conference just before noon in this monument with two new guides
About what had happened in the Piazza.
In the afternoon, we have also visited the museum of Santa Giulia built on the ruins of
Roman monuments.
A picture all together!
WednesdayIn the morning we stayed at school: we looked at the ads we had created the day before
After that we explained the Comenius Project to the youngest students of the school
Later in the morning two young enterpreneurs told us about their business idea and how they managed to start up their business (they created an innovative remote control)
Lunch time at Freccia Rossa and free time for shopping in the afternoon!
Wednesday night at «La nave di Harlock»
A wonderful time!
We had a party… and a lot of fun!
Thursday in Italy– what a day!
From there we had an impressive
view over the whole city
and the Lake Garda.
Early in the morning we went to the
school to start our trip to Sirmione
where we visited a castle. From there
we had an impressive view over
the whole city and the Lake Garda.
After this we had free time and the most of us ate ice cream and many other delicious
things and enjoyed the
beautiful view over the lake.
At 12 o’clock our trip went on to Verona. There we had a bus tour through the city
with a very gentle guide. It was very interesting to see the historical parts of
Verona.
The highlight of the day was the
balcony of Romeo and Julia. Another
special moment was when we arrived at the
market near “the Coliseum” of
Verona where we had a bit free time
to shop.
Back in the bus, we took the French people to a station where we said goodbye to them. When we arrived at the school we had to say
goodbye to the Spanish and Italian people. It was a sad
moment for all of us because we might not see them again.
But it was a very good experience!!!
More than
one tear was
shed…
