Our Students are Digital Natives
Students have changed. Today’s students:•Are digital natives who live in a world where technology is omnipresent. •Are not the people our educational system was designed to teach.•Have not just changed incrementally from those of the past…our students have chanced radically.•Represent the first generation to grow up with this new technology.•Think and process information fundamentally differently from their predecessors.•Are all native speakers of the digital language of computers, video games and the Internet.

What is Web 2.0?Web 2.0 is simply the use of the Internet as a two-way medium- - -that it is a platform upon which content is not only consumed but also created. For my generation, our use of the Web largely mirrored our experiences with print and broadcast media: we were the audience, and a select few were the creators (this would be Web 1.0, if you will).
