HERO He is the protagonist of the 2011 game Captain

America: Super Soldier, which is the movie tie-in for the film Captain America: The First Avenger, and features the voice of Chris Evans, reprising his role from the film. Captain America is a playable character in Marvel Super Hero Squad Online.

In my own words: Steve Rogers, a sickly man from Brooklyn who is transformed into super-soldier Captain America to aid in the war effort.

My own example: Rogers must stop the Red Skull, Adolf Hitler's ruthless head of weaponry and the leader of an organization that intends to use an artifact called the "Tesseract“ as an energy-source for world domination.

In my own words: She's a character who lies for a living. That's what she does. He's a character who tells the truth. Give them a problem and they'll have different ways of approaching it. She's pushing him to modernize, and he's pushing her to add a certain level of integrity to her life

My own example:  working for the government throughout their professional careers. With their friendship they begin to question what they want and what is their true identity.

In my own words: About the role, Mackie said "[Wilson is] a really smart guy who went through major military training and becomes a tactical leader.“ Remarking, "He's the first African-American superhero.

My own example: Falcon has shown some ability to apparently control birds, as shown when he enlisted their aid in attacking Scarecrow, and when, badly injured and manacled to a wall, he telepathically summoned a large number of different birds from the surrounding area to smash through a window and attack the Red Skull.

In my own words: The series has yet to explain their disparity in species, although in the book SpongeBob's Trivia Book, Mr. Krabs explains that Pearl takes after her mother, suggesting that her mother is a whale.

My own example: Her mother is never seen or mentioned in the series. Pearl is frequently embarrassed by her father's cheap attitude and often forces him to try and change his habits.

ANTAGONIST

The Joker (The Dark Knight)

The Joker is a fictional character portrayed by Heath Ledger and the main antagonist of the film The Dark Knight, the second film In The Dark Knight trilogy.

https://www.google.com.ph/search?q=antagonist+joker&biw=1024&bih=499&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAWoVChMIkaPijKPexgIVxSqICh1_2gfb#imgrc=QCyhraD4vHf8DM%3A

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Joker_(The_Dark_Knight)

In my own words: In The Dark Knight, the Joker is depicted as a maniacal criminal mastermind who terrorizes Gotham City and whose goal is to plunge it into anarchy.

My own example: The Joker has been described as a "psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy." He was portrayed by the late Heath Ledger, in the role that won him a posthumous Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

NEMESIS

 Johann Schmidt / Red Skull

Captain America's nemesis and Adolf Hitler’s head of advanced weaponry, whose own plan for world domination involves a magical object known as the Tesseract.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_America:_The_First_Avenger#Captain_America:_Civil_War

In my own words: I think the major difference between Skull and Cap, they've both had the serum, and the serum seems to augment certain qualities that each of them have. Cap is much more in tune with other people I think. Schmidt is in tune with himself, and his own needs, and his own ego, so I suppose it augments that. From that point of view, they're quite opposite

My own example:  In the film, Red Skull is the commander of the terrorist organization Hydra. Weaving stated that he patterned Red Skull's accent on those of Werner Herzog and Klaus Maria Brandauer.

SHAPE-SHIFTER07

Mystique

Mystique’s ability to shapeshift comes from her mutant power.  She is normally blue-skinned and yellow-eyed, but with the ability to look like whoever she wants, Mystique is rarely found in her “normal” form.

https://www.google.com.ph/search?q=antagonist+joker&biw=1024&bih=499&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAWoVChMIkaPijKPexgIVxSqICh1_2gfb#tbm=isch&q=Mystique+%E2%80%93+X-Men+movies&imgrc=gCv1ewCzm_rvGM%3A

http://unrealitymag.com/movies/10-memorable-shapeshifters-from-film-and-television/

In my own words:  In the X-Men movies, Mystique uses her shapeshifting ability for infiltration and to aid Magneto.  She even teases Wolverine a bit by transforming right before his eyes as a sexual sampler of sorts.

My own example: During the battle at the Statue of Liberty to stop Magneto from using the device on the UN Summit, she has an extended fight with Wolverine, proving to be too nimble for him to hit. Wolverine defeated her when she tried to impersonate Storm to distract him. As she cannot mask her scent, he saw through the ruse and stabbed her. She survives, however, and morphs into the form of a fallen police officer. As a result, she is able to slip past the police that descend on the building.

In my own words: The character is a powerful mutant, a subspecies of humanity born with superhuman abilities, and has the ability to generate and control magnetic fields.

My own example:  Magneto desires mutants to dominate the human race as he views humans as an outdated species that no longer deserves its continual domination over the world.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lois_Lane

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/21/618x270/movies-man-of-steel-amy-adams-lois-lane.jpg

In my own words:In this modern version of events, Lois was portrayed as a tough-as-nails reporter who rarely needed rescuing. She was depicted as strong, opinionated, yet sensitive.

My own example: Clark Kent/Superman(Dean Cain) and Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher) as they first meet, and begin a working and romantic relationship with each other.

Sergeant James "Bucky" Barnes

Steve Rogers' best friend. Stan has signed on for "five or six pictures".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_America:_The_First_Avenger#Cast

In my own words: Steve Rogers and Bucky are both orphans and kind of like brothers. They kind of grow up together and look after each other. It's a very human, relatable thing... I also wanted to look out for how their relationship changes once Steve Rogers becomes Captain America. There's always a competition and they're always one-upping each other. I paid attention to how Bucky is affected by Steve's change and suddenly Steve is this leader

My own example:  He revealed that he didn't know anything about the comic books, but watched a lot of documentaries and films about World War II in preparation for the role, calling Band of Brothers "very helpful". About the role, Stan stated

Colonel Chester Phillips

Phillips recruited Steve Rogers to join Project Rebirth, the secret experiment that created the super-soldier known as Captain America.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_America:_The_First_Avenger#Cast

In my own words: General Chester Phillips is one of the army officers overseeing subject selection forProject: Rebirth.

My own example:  He takes a personal interest in Steve Rogers as the best candidate for the first test. Both he andAbraham Erskine refuse to allow General Maxfield Saunders to have Clinton McIntyre receive the first full treatment. When Saunders steals the serum and apparently kills McIntyre, Phillips has the body shipped away and Saunders arrested.

Lord Voldemort (/ˈvoʊldəmɔr/) (born Tom Marvolo Riddle) is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Voldemort

http://cdn.spectator.org/Lordvoldemort.jpg

In my own words: Voldemort appears at the climax of the fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, having again plotted against Harry

My own example:  Harry goes through extreme emotional stress, and according to Rowling, it was necessary to prove that Harry is emotionally vulnerable and thus human, in contrast to his nemesis Voldemort, who is emotionally invulnerable and thus inhuman.

COMIC RELIEF

Olaf is a snowman character from the 2013 animated film Frozen, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olaf_(Disney)

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wB5NwXBPUtc/Ux_MQGXsLLI/AAAAAAACe-0/trH0zDet7bI/s1600/olafhappy.png

In my own words: As a snowman Anna and Elsa built together as kids, Olaf represents innocent love and the joy the sisters once had when they were young before being split. He isn't just funny, he's also got a "big role to play representing the innocent love in the scale of fear versus love."

My own example: Olaf couldn't just be thrown in, he had to have a purpose" and that one of his purposes was to be the embodiment of the sisterly relationship that had gone cold.  "When Anna and Elsa were very little, and before Elsa's powers accidentally hurt Anna, they played. They'd sneak away and play with her powers. And you see them roll the snowman. He's not magical. He doesn't come to life. But they name him Olaf and he likes warm hugs." "It inspires the look. And so when Elsa is singing “Let It Go” obviously the first thing she goes to is the last moment she was happy. And it was that moment. And so he’s imbued with that. He’s innocent love."

EXTRAS

EXTRAS

Kíli was one of the twelve companions of Thorin and Bilbo on the Quest of Erebor. He and his brother Fíli were the biological sons of Dís, Thorin's sister.

In my own words: He had a blue cloak and a yellow beard. The two brothers were described as being young in Dwarf terms, younger than the rest by some fifty years. They also had the best eyesight and so were often sent scouting or searching.

My own example: The brothers are consistently described as having been cheerful, and the only two to have come out of the barrels at Lake-town "more or less smiling."

Gimli is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium, featured in The Lord of the Rings.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimli_(Middle-earth)

In my own words: A Dwarf warrior, he is the son of Glóin (a character from Tolkien's earlier novel, The Hobbit).

My own example: Gimli is chosen to represent the race of Dwarves in the Fellowship of the Ring. As such, he is one of the primary characters of the novel. In the course of the adventure, Gimli aids the Ring-bearer, participates in the War of the Ring, and becomes close friends with Legolas, overcoming an ancient enmity of Dwarves and Elves.

Gollum is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He was introduced in the 1937 children's fantasy novel The Hobbit, and became an important supporting character in its sequel, The Lord of the Rings.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gollum https://hobbitalk.wikispaces.com/file/view/gollu

m.jpg/33022675/388x292/gollum.jpg

In my own words: The Ring, which Gollum referred to as "my precious" or "precious", extended his life far beyond natural limits.

My own example: Under centuries of the Ring's influence, Gollum had "come to love and despise the Ring, just as he loved and hated himself." Throughout the story, Gollum was torn between his lust for the Ring and his desire to be free of it. Bilbo Baggins found the Ring and took it for his own, and Gollum afterwards pursued it for the rest of his life.

ROUND CHARACTER

Frodo Baggins is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium, and primary character of The Lord of the Rings.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4e/Elijah_Wood_as_Frodo_Baggins.png

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frodo_Baggins

In my own words: Frodo is a hobbit of the Shire who inherits the One Ring from Bilbo Baggins and undertakes the quest to destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom.

My own example: He was very compassionate, pitying Gollum and allowing him to guide him and Sam to Mordor despite Sam's distrust of the creature. This act of kindness later proved to be a factor in the quest's success in destroying the Ring.

The influence of the Ring and the wound by the Morgul-blade seems combined to have given him the ability to see into the spirit world, for instance he sees faraway events in his dreams on several occasions. He also can see the ring of power worn by Galadriel and he seems to be able to sense danger.

New concepts learnedI learned that there’s a different kinds of

characters in every movies that I watched in every stories that I’ve read. With the help of this activity I can now distinguish what are their different kinds of roles in the story that they’re going to portray.

NEW INPUTS18

Page 25: Types of Characters

This reminds me of… This reminds me when I read the book

of “The Princess of the orient” I can’t understand who is the main character in the story so I read the book more than three times and it made me go crazy because after reading it for the third time around I can’t still understand so I find the Antagonist. In that I distinguished the main character in the story.

CONNECTIONS19

Page 26: Types of Characters

Usefulness in real situations In the real situation I’m the protagonist

and for me I don’t know who is the antagonist in this story of my life but well I guess the antagonist is the struggles. In order to face this reality I need a mentor and a sidekick. Some people around me will be a extra and of course there will be a romantic angle.
