for developing training programmes. It is a detailed sketch for what will be

done, whyit is being done , and the best ways to

reach thetraining objectives.

Principles of Training

• Training prog. must be based on the principles of individual differences

• The objectives should be expressed in performance terms as far as possible.

• For effective motivation of trainees, suitable incentives must be provided

• Both the executive and supervisors as well as the trainees must take active part in the training activities, so that all concerned take genuine interest in the training.

Understanding & Developing the Objectives of Training

Training objectives defines what participants will beexpected to learn or do as a result of participating intraining program and are essential for the success.Establishing objectives is one of the important steps inany training program. The objectives clarify what isexpected by both HRD staff and participants. Itprovides a basis for evaluating the program after ithas been completed. Moreover, it helps to determinewhich methods are appropriate by focusing on theareas of employee performance that need to change.
