TZETAN TODOROV’S

Todorov’s narrative theory implies that all narratives follow a three part structure where they being with equilibrium, where everything is is balanced and progress disrupts that equilibrium then finally find a resolution.

The steps are:

- Equilibrium

- Disruption

- Recognition of disruption

- Resolution

- Returning back to the equilibrium

OUR SHORT FILM

However with our short film, we slightly went against the codes and conventions. Our equilibrium had a disruption but no resolution, we left it on a cliff hanger to keep the audience at the edge of their seat.
