TUJUAN DAFTAR INDIKATOR UTAMA TIK

Sebagai panduan bagi negara-negara yang akan memulai pengumpulan indikator TIK : Mencerminkan prasyarat untuk memperoleh manfaat dari TIK Para pihak (terutama regulator, kementerian/departemen,

operator dan pihak kunci lain) dapat memiliki fokus yang sama tentang indikator yang penting

Memberikan landasan untuk mengembangkan statistik yang dapat diperbandingkan secara internasional menyangkut masyarakat informasi (the information society).

Awal untuk pengembangan selanjutnya dan penambahan indikator statistik yang penting bagi perbaikan kebijakan sejalan dengan perkembangan/ pengalaman yang diperoleh setiap negara.
