A blank sheet is to be inserted immediately after the front cover-page followed by the title page.

All lines are to be arranged symmetrically from the center vertical line.

(four and one-half inches (4-1/2”) from the left edge of the sheet and four inches (4”) from the right.)

a) It should be concise as well as descriptive and comprehensive.

b) Its wordings should indicate the content of the paper.

c) All letters of the title should be capitalized.

(The first line on top should be twelve (12) single spaces from the top edge of the sheet)

This part states to whom the thesis is submitted.

It arranged just above the horizontal center on the sheet in such a manner that the last line is just barely one space above the center line.

• Information stating the degree for which the thesis is submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements.

• This comes just about the midway between the last line of the statement of presentation and the bottom at the edge of the sheet.

Name of the writer.

As to have the last line just right on the marginal line one (1’’) inch at the bottom of the sheet.

Month and year of convocation in which the degree is to be conferred.

Remember:Except for the title in which all the

letters are capitalized, the first letter of the first word of each line and the first letter of all principal

words are the only ones to be capitalized.

Acceptance and Approval page

This page clearly indicates the :(1) Title of the thesis(2) Name of the student(3) Academic degree for which the thesis

is a partial requirement(4) Recommendation of the faculty adviser(5) Acceptance and approval of the

Department Head, and(6) Signatures of the members of the

Acknowledgements• Preface, introduction and foreword

are generally synonymous terms.

• It is optional on the part of the writer.

• Some authors prefer to express their acknowledgements in the last paragraph of the preface, introduction or foreword.

• It contains an expression of gratitude of the author to persons who have extended to him some help or encouragement in the preparation of his thesis. (thesis faculty adviser, librarian or typist)

• It should be made simply and with tact.

Remember:Care should be exercised to

avoid unnecessary embarrassments to person who

are intended to be honored.Criticisms and suggestions are helps which can be mentioned

in appropriate ways.
