• Some organisations and educational institutions have ‘formalised’ provision– use of Web 2.0 technologies– allowing people to rip, mix and feed

• It’s out there and not in here!

• How much do I need to know/do?

• Endorsing the use?

• Providing Enterprise systems?

• Allowing people to publish their own content?

• Encouraging people to construct their own educational, training and development programmes and connect with others?

A time and place for everything

• Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water – but provide a few more ‘toys’

• Learner support tools which are not compulsory

• Need to remember that most adult learning is contextual if it is to be effective
