DUNLOD, INDIA Many of the children in India are extremely poor and have little food to eat. Many children have not been able to go to school. 20 years ago, students from our State Univeristy College traveled to India and started a school in a small village called Dunlod. Because of this one effort, there are now over 600 chidren going to school in Dunlod.

DUNLOD, INDIA

Many of the children in India are extremely poor and have little food to eat.Many children have not been able to go to school.

20 years ago, students from our State Univeristy College traveled to India and started a school in a small village called Dunlod. Because of this one effort, there are now over 600 chidren going to school in Dunlod.

•2000 – Oneonta, New York and Dundlod, Rajasthan were declared as Sister Cities.

•2003—Princess Ganga Singh and Prince

Raghuvendra Singh Dundlod visit Oneonta

•2005 – Riverside School raises $2500 for

the schools and the Dunlod principal visited

the four Oneonta elementary schools.

•2006--Center Street Elementary School

raises $840 for school supplies.

•2008- Principals from our sister-city schools in India visit Oneonta as part of the

global educational exchange program

•2007 – Greater Plains Elementary School

purchases 20 goats through their “Kiss the

Goat Project”

• 2008 – Oneonta school’s, Mr. Sider, travels to India

and uses money from Riverside’s penny Rangoli

project to purchase books with Dunlod students.

•2010 – Center Street Elementary School raises funds

for teacher’s salary and school supplies for Dundlod.
