Psychological Thriller- A psychological thriller is a thriller story which is based about a abnormal character in our case, Phillip.

The plot- Our first idea we came up with was to do something to do with clowns. We looked deeper into this idea and developed it by coming up with the idea of a psychological thriller with phillip having nightmares about clowns and in one of these nightmares the clown kills someone's.When he wakes up the next day his friend comes round and there is a prop that is related to the dream that only the audience and friend recognizes.

Theme- war/battle (in philip's mind)

Representation- To convey Phillips psychological state in a thrilling way.

StructureAct 1: In this first act we are going to have phillip brushing his teeth in the bathroom before getting into bed. This will be good as will introduce the main character straight away and help tell the audience a bit about him.

Act 2: Phillip has now gone to bed and sets off to sleep. This act is the psychological part where phillip has the nightmare about the spooky clown (Dan) taunting people. This act is going to be the most thrilling part due to the taunting clown who in this scene even kills someone (Heena).

Act 3: This is going to be phillip waking up from the nightmare by a bedside alarm. He then goes down stairs and when he does there is going to be a floating balloon related to the nightmare behind him and this will then create a mystery for the audience.

Key dramatic moment- In the opening sequence our key dramatic moment is going to be when Phillip kills Heena as this part will create a extreme dramatic moment but will also be horrifying for the audience.

Representation

Character 1- Phillip is made to look innocent as he is the victim of his mental state where he is terrorised by the clown.

Character 2- Dan, the clown that is terrorising people in phillips nightmares is next to come in and in the opening scene is the killer who kills Heena.

Character 3- Heena is victim in Phillip’s dream and she is killed by dan with a balloon string attached to a balloon.

Character 4- Leia is the sister of Phillip and is the person in the end of the opening scene who draws the attention to the balloon which creates the mystery that psychological thrillers have.

Mise en sceneSetting - The setting of the opening sequence is going to be based in Phillips old Gloomy house.

Props

Lighting - We believe that making lighting faded will be good as if we create a dark atmosphere with lighting this will help create a dark mood.

costume/makeup - As the clown is our main character we will dress him in a clown costume, have a wig but also facepaint. For Philip as he is going to bed and getting up from bed in our opening sequence we believe dressing him in a dressing down is a great simple idea. Also we decided pyjamas is the best idea for Henna as she is going to be killed at night and this best suits the time.

Performance - As we aren't great actors we believe that we should use as little ? as possible to make it more professional and more attracting for the audience so that they want to watch on.
