MITOSISYour body is made up of billons of cells. Most cells divided by a proces called MITOSIS. It consists to a single cell divided in two new cells and the copy will be identically.

DISCOVERY OF CELLS

Zacharias Jansen and his father Hans, made the first microscope in 1590. They build a compound light microscope witch had two lenses.Robert Hooke was the first person that saw a cell with a microscope improved by himself in 1665. He invented the name of the cell.This fact allowed other more important discoveries.

CELL THEORYAlong the 19th century the cellular theory was developed .This theory has three postulates:

All organisms are made up of one or more cells.The cell is the most basic units of liveAll cells come from cells that already exist (stem cells).

THE FUTURE OF GENETICS

The furure are the STEM CELLS and it’s here…Today we can clone organs to cure illnesses like a Regenerative Medicine.We can modificate our DNA to avoid future illnesses.
