GIRLS WHO ROCK, the third annual benefit concert

for She’s the First during Internet Week New York,

was an outrageous success, raising more this year than

the last two years combined!

GWR 2010:

•$6,000 raised

•Sponsored 3 girls (Grace, Happiness, & Elizabeth), who have since graduated!

•Funded 2 years each in AfricAid’s Kisa Project program in Tanzania

GWR 2011:

•$17,000+ raised from event and online campaign

•Funded the school year for 29 girls in primary level at the Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda

GWR 2012:

•$30,000 grand total, which will sponsor 10 girls at the Shanti Bhavan boarding school in Bangalore, India, plus two college scholarships!

•Made a local impact by inviting the Park Slope Rock School to be part of the show.

•Introduced a successful star-studded charitybuzz auction component, which raised an estimated $5,000 (some lots still pending).

•Moved by the event, an anonymous donor pledged $5,000 the night of the concert!
