Provide detailed descriptions from chosen examples that establish… Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have been used to create specific soundtrack elements

Setting

This music gives a sense of openness and vulnerability such as being outside. The music sounds serious and like there is an important moment being played, it sounds like the kind of music that would play during a flashback which means multiple settings.

The music sounds orchestrated using instruments such as the violin. This creates seriousness to the music and adds emotion.

Mood

The music builds up suspense and fits a serious, important cutscene. The music starts off slow then gradually sounds more dramatic, this could imply an important flashback which changes to a dramatic moment of the story.

The violin is mainly used and adds to the suspense by getting heavier and louder. This shows that things change drastically when the music does.

Game genre

The music suggests action/adventure as the game genre because of the suspense and story that goes along with the music.

The orchestrated music really adds to the suspense because of how much more real the music sounds.

Narrative

The music implies seriousness and importance to the story.

I think the instruments were played by an orchestra which is more real than computer sounds. This adds to the importance of the cut scene.
