The weather on the 15th of march was very Rough. The water was up to the bridge, which is 3 times higher than normal, consequently it water logged all the banks around it which where half a foot deep. It took approximately 1 week and a few of days to recover because it had about three storms which where quite serious and went right up the bank, up to bursting point. Thankfully the river didn’t burst its banks, but instead went down to its normal size.

HOW DID THE WEATHER EFFECT THE RIVER?

After the storms

After the water had gone down to its original size there were lots of sticks and debris left in the river from the storm on the 15th March ’08.This meant that the water was very murky and muddy, so you couldn’t see the bottom of the river. Some of the debris had been put in deliberately by people who couldn’t be bothered to put their rubbish in the bin.
