Introductions• Servitium – Viplav, Jatinder and Ashish• SPSU – Deepak, Nikhil and Pritosh (Gaming)– Avinash, Neeraj and Kuldip (Web 2.0 and eLearning)– Avinash, Yadu and Ayush (Simulations and eLearning)– Pravesh and Sparsh (Low cost computing for learning)

The Internship Program• Main goals are:– To make you aware of how collaboration can be
enhanced through use of state of the art tools– To help you research your topic– To apply what you have learnt to your immediate
context– To demonstrate your learning to the SPSU and
global community
Schedule of Activities• May 7th-21st – Teams will research the three areas and prepare a 20-30 slide
presentation with examples; submit the outline on May 10th as an interim deliverable• June 1st – teams will submit the second version of the presentation with suggested
changes• June 4th – final presentation submission• June 8th – Virtual presentation by students to internship team• June 11th – Let us make a virtual presentation to Ashok and HoDs. • June 18th – Teams to come up with top ideas for implementing the concepts learnt in the
actual SPSU context. This work can start from May 21 itself.• June 25th – These ideas need to be detailed out in terms of objective, relevance,
approach, needs and visualization• July 2nd – Servitium will revert with the finishing touches• July 9th – Let us plan to have a larger presentation with faculty, admin and students. We
will also need a brief presentation from faculty in-charges on what your experience and learning from this exercise was and how you can help other faculty members to adopt these approaches
Our engagement• Use the Ning website for all conversations• Weekly meeting invite has been sent• No post/comment goes unanswered• Non-team members should be encouraged to join and
participate• Create a buzz around this – posters, t-shirts,…• Ask questions all the time – nothing is unimportant or
silly• There are no boundaries to what can be discussed or
who can comment
Tools• Continuously add new and relevant tools such as
box.net (e.g. Technorati social bookmarking)• Use Twitter integration; mark all tweets with hashtag
#spsuInternship; set up TweetDeck• Set up a feed reader – Google Reader• Each person contributes a blog post a week at the
minimum• Wiki (pbWorks?) or Huddle Workspace needs to be
incorporated• Ustream/Youtube – other kinds of media welcome

• I will have some initial material set up for you on all 4 areas as well as a presentation template
• Think of innovative ways to research your topic. Include surveys and interviews.
