First I thought I would share this blog I found on the subject of using Slideshare in education.http://educationaltech-med.blogspot.com/2011/04/Slideshare.htmlThis blog has a number of tutorials and ideas for using Slideshare.

One idea suggested by the above site is using Slideshare to embed PowerPoints into your blog which the blogging software will not let you do directly. Slideshare will give you an html code so that you can embed it.

You could use Slideshare during your planning as you create PowerPoints you could upload them to Slideshare so you will have them ready to use in your classroom.

Students could use Slideshare to upload their PowerPointsto share with other students and with the teacher.

Slideshare could be used in the classroom for group projects in which a PowerPoint has to be turned in or presented to the class. Each group member could put their slides together and then share using this program.

Slideshare could also be used to send out slide shows to teachers from professional learning days, seminars, etc.

I am not a fan of this internet tool personally. We have had a hard time "sharing" it and had to simply compile our thoughts into one slideshow. Maybe we have more to learn though.
