Traditionally, narrations of the Prophet’s life are frequently taught, Traditionally, narrations of the Prophet’s life are frequently taught,

Allah said: “Allah said: “it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is

“And [so,] convey to the believers the glad tiding that a great bounty

from Allah awaits them; and defer not to [the likes and dislikes of] the

deniers of the truth and the hypocrites, and disregard their hurtful talk,

and place thy trust in Allah: for none is as worthy of trust as Allah.”

Major milestones in the Seerah:


"Oh, my Allah! To Thee I raise my hand to complain of the

feebleness of my strength, of my lack of resources and of my being

unimportant in the eyes of people.

Oh, Most Merciful of all those capable of showing mercy! You are

the Robb ( Lord, Sustainer, Cherisher) of the weak, and You are my

own Robb ( Lord , Sustainer, Cherisher). TLord , Sustainer, Cherisher). To whom are You going to

entrust me to? To an unsympathetic folk who would sullenly frown

at me, or to an alien to whom Thou hast given control over my

affairs?



Not in the least do I care for anything except that I may have Thy

protection for myself.

I seek shelter in Your light - The light that illuminates the Heavens

and dispels all sorts of darkness, and which controls all affairs in this

world as well as in the Hereafter.

May it never be that I should incur Thy wrath, or that You should

be displeased with me. I must remove the cause of Thy displeasure

until You are pleased. There is no strength nor power but through

Thee."

in His great bounty.“

whoever disobey me is one who refuses (to enter it).”

for a space of one brick. The people used to go round this for a space of one brick. The people used to go round this

house, wonder and say, ‘If only this missing brick were put house, wonder and say, ‘If only this missing brick were put

“Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and

Day], let him do righteous deeds, and let him not ascribe unto anyone or

anything a share in the worship due to his Sustainer!“

How have we regarded our life? In fact many have become How have we regarded our life? In fact many have become

‘‘enslavedenslaved’ (by others) without them realizing it. Whereas we are ’ (by others) without them realizing it. Whereas we are

supposed to be the slave of Allah s.w.t.supposed to be the slave of Allah s.w.t.

We say we are Muslims, yet what do we mean by “We say we are Muslims, yet what do we mean by “I bear I bear

witness witness ..”? Being a witness to what? Towards whom? ..”? Being a witness to what? Towards whom?

And how do we effectively become truly a witness? Have we really And how do we effectively become truly a witness? Have we really

been one? Or are we promoting other ‘been one? Or are we promoting other ‘brands brands ’ instead?’ instead?

Other ‘models’ are being introduced by people, while the Muslims Other ‘models’ are being introduced by people, while the Muslims

We should be talking to others about him; express appreciation by We should be talking to others about him; express appreciation by

mentioning him and his contributions towards betterment of mankind; mentioning him and his contributions towards betterment of mankind;

his nobility, amazing miracles, prophecies about him and other his nobility, amazing miracles, prophecies about him and other

outstanding characteristics; his love and concern for every humanity; outstanding characteristics; his love and concern for every humanity;

etc. – just so that those who do not know him may become interested etc. – just so that those who do not know him may become interested

to want to know.to want to know.

Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said:Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said:

“O Allah, make my speech be guidance, inspire me with

reverential fear, give me success in that which is most

pure, and employ me in what is most pleasing to Thee!

O Allah, let me tread the most exemplary path and make

me live and die in Thy creed!

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household, give me to

enjoy moderation, make me into one of the people of

right behaviour, the proofs of right conduct, and the

servants of righteousness,"

– MUHAM-MADUN – SWOL-LAL-LAA-HU –’ALAI-HI - WA-SAL-LAM

“O Allah! Grant favours in our hearing, in our sight and in our strength to be

always upon Your Path. And make our yearnings and desires to be in accord

with everything (teachings and guidance) which has ben brought by Your

beloved Muhammad - salutations of Allah and peace be upon him.”
