We were actually trying to forward multiple emails from our company Gmail account to one of our employee’s Gmail. Then we figured out there was no option

for Gmail users to forward multiple emails at once to other Gmail or any other Email accounts! You can set forwarding option through Gmail settings but that will

literally forward each email that you receive in your Gmail account!

First we checked Google’s tutorial on Setting up Gmail with Outlook which is just like their other 60% tutorials “not helpful“. Then we started digging and digging

and finally we found the solution.

Anyway in the upcoming slides we will show how you Set up Gmail with Outlook, That Will Work 100% step by step. Hope you will stick with us.

Why We Did Worry About It

1. Login to your Gmail. Click on the “Gear” icon and then “Settings”

2. Click on “Forwarding and POP/IMAP”

3. Make sure POP and IMAP are enabled.

4. Visit this URL of Google: https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptchaAnd then click on continue button

5. Now visit this URL of Google: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureappsThen click on “Turn on” option. Make sure “Turn on” option is selected before you open up

6. Open Microsoft Outlook. We are using Microsoft Outlook 2007. Click on “Tools” and then “Account Settings”

7. Click on “New…”. (You can see in the following image that I have already synced one of our Gmail accounts with Microsoft Outlook)

8. Select “Internet E-mail” under Choose E-Mail Service. Click Next.

9. On the “Auto Account Setup” window, select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types”. Then click Next.

10. Again select “Internet E-mail” under Choose E-Mail Service. Click Next.

*If you are setting up the account for the first time, you might not see this step.

11. Fill in the information like the following image: (Use your email address and password)

Then click on “More Settings” and then “Outgoing Server” tab and select “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” -> “Use same settings as my

incoming mail server”

Click on “Advanced” tab, set everything like the following image. Lastly, click “OK” button.

Now we need to test the newly created account. Click on “Test Account Settings” button

If everything is alright, it will show you a congratulations message. Click on “Close” button

12. Click on “Next” and the following window with appear. This confirms that you have successfully entered all the information required to setup your account. To close the

wizard, click Finish button.

13. Wait for 10 minutes or more (based on your Gmail size). If you have like 3GB data in your Gmail, you might need to force close the “Outlook App” several times and

reopen if the app is not responding! Then Voila!

Here are Some Important Notes:

A. If you are using wrong Gmail address or password on another email app, the sync will not work.

B. Gmail is the most secure app and Microsoft Outlook or other mail clients don’t have security standard like Gmail. Make sure you are using strong password in

Gmail to prevent hack attempts.C. If you don’t turn on access for less secure apps, sync will not work.

D. If you don’t use “DisplayUnlockCaptcha“, your sync will fail.E. If you don’t follow any of our steps, sync will fail!

F. Properly set Incoming (Imap) and Outgoing (SMTP) Mail server settings. Otherwise, sync will not work.

G. Remove email clients when your need is fulfilled and Turn off “Access for less secure apps”! This will ensure your Gmail is 100% protected.
