Guédé Women’s Scenario Planning

Guédé Women’s Vision of Agriculture for the next 10 Years

Conventional Agriculture should be completely ‘oublie’, we need to get

rid of fertilizers

We grow gumbu, jarratu, aubergine…

…courgette, onion, pepper, corn, cabbage, but we have no

mango, banana and fruit trees and want to learn how to

improve soil… and increase diversity and abundance

We are 210 women. We have 5 plots of land to offer for the project and need

land management skills

2 by the River, one in East, and one near the Road

We want to participate on both aspects of the project the organic gardens and the agroforestry. And we

need more diversity.

2 by the river, one in East, and one near the road

We want to be free from banks and only rely on our strength.

2 by the river, one in East, and one near the road

We are soldiers ready for the battle of organic agriculture

Lahel Scenario PlanningWe are all Daughters and Sons of Farmers, and we

want to continue the journey of our ancestrals

We have 250 hectares, 7 associated villages, rice is the main activity, we

have no trees and 3000 people share a common land

We used to have thick forest with lions, elephants. panters and

hienas behind very tall grass, today the forest is like a skeleton. The rivers were full of crocodiles. All animals have left us today…

We want our kids to learn how to work with trees. Lahel Mother

“Poverty Paralyses Culture. Poverty Paralyses Everything…”

Moundouwaye Scenario PlanningPrayer to Open the Meeting

Today rain is rarer, weather hotter, we have more wind and shorter time for

vegetables

Scenario Planning & Consultation in Diarra

Land-wise we have resources. This project is a present to us and we are

willing to invest our efforts

We have 8-10 closely knit satellite villages who are all represented here

If you support people in their livelihoods you give them wings

We have plenty of dust from the Sahara, we lost our resources, the land is dying

This project is the best news in years
