Intro• The media department at Haydon has a vast amount of

equipment which can benefit me in creating my music video. This includes tripods which will allow me to position the camera still at one point, therefore allowing me to steady the camera opposed to having it in my hands which could end up shaky. To compliment the tripod we have a dolly, this enabled you to put the tripod on wheels and move it around whilst keeping the steady shot. More equipment includes steadicam which allows you to mount the camera and then carry in on your shoulder therefore you can walk around and get many shots in many angles but very steady opposed to shaky. Furthermore there is the camera slide which is where you mount the camera and then are able to move it from side to side getting pan shots.

Canon 550D

• In school I will be using the Canon 550D which is an SLR camera with extremely good quality which I can use various lenses to suit the type of shots which I want to capture. Furthermore, the camera is fairly light so handheld shots can be performed easily.

Wide angle lens

• The wide angle lens is primarily for outdoor shots as it allows you to capture a lot more of the environment and space. This lens will be perfect to use for the shots I want to take in the busy London streets.

Prime lens

• This lens has an extremely high aperture which enables for a high depth of field when shooting. Furthermore, it allows you to have a low ISO which means you can film in poorer conditions and still get good footage.

GoPro Hero 4

• The GoPro is a great device for filming performance/fast moving action shots. This is perfect for the BMX footage I will be having in my music video. It is easily attached to many things such as helmets which give a very unique angle for shots.

Stedicam

• The stedicam is a piece of equipment which allows the person behind the camera in this case me, to get very controlled and steady handheld shots opposed to holding the camera in my hand where it is likely to be shaky and unprofessional giving a poor look.
