To create a healthier community and a greener environment through urban gardening and environmental education.

Increase students’ agricultural and environmental awareness on a local and global scale.

Create an engaged learning community in an academically stimulating experiential learning environment.

Increase opportunities for economically and academically disadvantaged youth.

Offer continuing education opportunities for adult learners in the Mankato/North Mankato area.

Program: Summer Program: Summer Experiential LearningExperiential Learning

7 weeks with weekly cultural and geographic themes integrated into an academic and experiential curriculum. June 15 – July 31.

5 teachers, 3 college student mentors Pre- and after- creative care Total 60 students per week

in 3 age ranges.
