It is a very common mistake when people refer to advertising as “propaganda”.

The difference between the two is the following:◦ Advertising tries to sell a

product or service in order to create a profit.

◦ The objective of propaganda is to spread ideology, usually political or religious, without the intention of a profit.

This is a very important question. Why? Because it is the main idea that we are trying to get through to our audience.◦ Am I trying to sell something? What is that

something?◦ Convince someone to follow an ideal? What is that

ideal?

More importantly:◦ HOW DO I COMMUNICATE THAT IDEA THROUGH?!

What is my goal?
