Review 2• Propaganda poster 2 shows a dead dragon in the middle of

the poster. On the dragon, there is a symbol of the German Nazis. At both sides of the dragon, there are soldiers shaking hands. The picture of soldiers shaking hands represent the co-operation between both parties in the effort to killing the dragon. The dragon is used to represent the German Nazis as the symbol of the Nazis is found on the dragon. In European mythology, dragons are considered evil beasts, so it means that they are trying to tell the public that the German Nazis are evil and are like beasts. As this propaganda poster was made during the World War, the poster hence must be telling the public that the British has formed an alliance with other European countries and will be able to exterminate the German Nazis. They are also using this propaganda poster to gain the public’s trust and support.

Review 3• Propaganda Poster 3 shows a Japanese soldier wielding a dagger

in his right hand and trying to grab a Caucasian woman with his left hand so he can kill her. The Japanese soldier looks terrifying and is depicted as a devilish-like human. The background is dark blue-black in colour. The caption is red in colour. Dark black-blue colour and the long claws of the Japanese soldier is used to represent evil, so it means that he is evil. The Caucasian woman is the victim and is used to represent the Caucasians who are victims during the World War Two. The caption is in red because red is used to show the severity and significance of the poster. Red is also used to catch the attention of viewers. The caption “This is the enemy” is used to pin-point towards the Japanese soldier. The person who made the poster wants to highlight and pin-point to the viewers that the Japanese are evil and remind them who the real enemy are.

Review 4• Propaganda Poster 4 shows a British soldier holding a metallic

cup which is dented. He has a wide smile over his face and is very happy. The caption at the top of the poster is big, bolded, and is black in colour, while the caption at the bottom of the poster is highlighted in red. This poster is used to inform the viewers that the army has not enough necessities to use amongst them and hope that the viewers can use less necessities so that the army will more to use. The caption are designed in such way so that it can catch the attention of the readers. The reason the soldier is seen drinking from a dented metallic cup is to show the viewers that the soldiers in the army have to use things that in bad conditions or are already spoilt. This way, they can get the sympathy of the viewers better, and hence the viewers would most likely use less and donate necessities to the army.
