OBJECTIVES

• To design and use an intervention programme which will directly benefit the participants

• To gain an understanding and awareness of the culture and values of their partners.

• To raise awareness of its impact on their lives and educational experience, particularly in relation to literacy and mathematics.

• To encourage motivation among students by involving them more actively in their own learning.

OBJECTIVES

• To build on their interest in IT/ICT to develop learning strategies which could increase their motivation, their literacy levels and their interest in maths and science.

• To encourage them to suggest and use alternative learning approaches which would make subject content more relevant to them.

• To build up a bank of resources which can be more widely used to benefit other students

ACTIVITIES

• YEAR 1 (2012-13):- Work on language and literature.– Online collaborative

work in Twinspace– Surveys on reading

habits– Work on “A Brave

New World” by Aldous Huxley.

– “Phrase Book” in the languages of the project.

YEAR 2 (2013-14):

- Work online- Maths, science and technology

EXPECTED RESULTS

• To make students more aware of their own responsibility in the learning process.

• To make them increase their literacy as well as mathematical and scientific levels.

• To make them more active in using, and also find out about, and even invent themselves, different products within the ICT/Edumedia field in their own studies.

• To document this and let the schools benefit from their results and products in this project. * To let this be a part of a bigger European intercultural context, together also with schools in Ireland, Germany and Spain.
